a vicarious blessing
“Vicarious (vI-'ker-E-&s), adjective: experienced or realized through imaginative or sympathetic participation in the experience of another.” Tonight I had time to go over to the Key Café to do some reading and fellowshipping. It wasn’t a busy night, so the manager, Albert, and I played a game of Chinese Chess. Midway through the game, Albert received a text message from his girlfriend, Rachel, a Sister. She attends a university downtown. She had been participating in an English Corner tonight, and through circumstances that I am presently unaware of, three girls joined the Family! To see the excitement on Albert’s face was a rebuke and a blessing. I hope it will be a blessing to those of you who faithfully remember.
